Dwayne Edwards became an ordained Elder in the Church of the Nazarene in 1986, Houston District. While pastoring on the Southern California District, he served as SDMI Chairman, District Advisory Board, Ministerial Credentials Board and Men’s Retreat Co-Director. While in San Diego, he served as Chaplain in the San Diego Sheriff’s Dept. for 19 years; the San Diego Marshals’ Dept. for 2 years; the Carlsbad Police Dept. for 2 years, and the Carlsbad Fire Dept. for 2 years.

In March 2016, Dwayne and Debbie moved to where the Church of the Nazarene began, in historic Pilot Point, Texas, to restart the old church, where they continue to serve today.
